Eid ul-Fitr
Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It last for one day, and is expected to take place on Sunday, March 30th or Monday March 31st, following the sighting of the moon. It marks the end of the month long dawn to sunset fasting of Ramadan.


World Autism Awareness Day
World Autism Awareness Day is observed internationally on April 2nd. This day serves to raise awareness and promote understanding of autism on a global scale. Through various campaigns, events, and discussions, this day plays a vital role in advancing knowledge about autism and advocating for the rights and well-being of individuals on the spectrum.


Radiologic and Imaging Nurses Day
Radiologic and Imaging Nurses Day will be observed this year on April 11th. This special day is
dedicated to recognizing the expertise, commitment, and compassionate care provided by
nurses who specialize in the field of radiology and imaging.



37th Annual Black Nurses Day on Capitol Hill
The Suffolk County Black Nurses participated in Washington on Capitol Hill with a delegation of 13 members. They had appointments with representatives Kirsten Gillibrand and Tom Suozzi. We are happy to have met with the representative and/or their designee to discuss NBNA initiatives that benefit healthcare for all especially the African American and marginalized populations. We were fortunate to have dynamic and engaging visits at our luncheon from representatives Jasmine Crockett, Bennie Thompson and Jonathan Jackson.
